Legal Counsel

Premier Tokyo based asset management firm seeks experienced and energetic legal counsel. A primary role is to serve as official secretariat for major internal and external meetings (board of directors meetings, executive committee meetings and general meetings of shareholders). Additional key responsibilities are to develop and manage internal regulatory compliance, corporate governance policies and procedures, to strengthen internal controls, and the provision of legal advice concerning overall corporate law to executive management team.

* Extensive qualifications and knowledge of Japanese corporate law mandatory
* Licensing as a lawyer (in Japan or in another country) preferred
* Bilingual E/J - Native level Japanese and intermediate or higher level English ability (read, speak and write)
* Superior communicator with passion for developing and managing secretariat and legal counsel best practices
* Successful track-record contributing to IPO and M&A efforts
