IT Staff

Proprietary trading firm is looking for Japanese/English bilingual IT staff for their Japan office. Ideal candidate will be someone: eager to learn and take on new responsibilities, with a strong interest in the IT side of trading and finance, and comfortable working under pressure. Looking for good coverage of:

*Admin:
3-5 years of Windows IT desktop / administration experience,
prefer hands-on troubleshooting experience to help desk and call center work.
*Windows:
XP / 2003 / 2000 server / desktop replication experience
*Unix:
Linux / Unix familiarity (understanding of shell and how to
navigate /troubleshoot a machine)
*Trading Desk:
experience with knowledge of some of the following
Bloomberg,Reuters RMDS, Excel, Access, FIX, DMA connectivity
*Networking: TCP/IP concepts, basic router configuration,
understanding of trading networks / extranets, familiarity with Radianz
or similar vendor(s)
*Data Center:
familiar with best practices for racking / wiring / power management
*Programming:
VBA, Admin scripting in either a Windows or Unix environment.
Recent programming experience. Language and platform is not that important.
*Other:
Data center rollout experience, colo experience, VB6 or similar,
Excel / VBA integration experience would be big plusses.
